Adopt-a-Room

Volunteers, individuals, or groups, can adopt a resident's room, or several rooms, to maintain in livable and comfortable condition. The room may need a coat of paint, wall repair, new curtains, bedspreads, etc. The adopting groups or persons will check on "their" room(s) quarterly to see if any maintenance is needed. Door signs will be displayed with the adopting groups / persons name, i.e. "The National Bank Room", "Sandy's Florist", "Mary and Jim Jackson Room", etc.

Prince Edward, Nottoway, Lunenburg, and Mecklenburg as well as the contiguous counties of Amelia, Burnswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Halifax, and Powhatan. However, Madeline's House works with shelters in all states that need to make a referral to us for the safety of their client.
