Madeline's House can no longer accept donations of gently used items. This includes clothing, furniture, toys, and household items. Now that both thrift stores are closed, the shelter has nowhere to send gently used donations we can't use…and the shelter doesn't have room to store the massive amount of donations the community is accustomed to sending us. This is a major change and will be a difficult transition at first, but in time we'll all adjust. The only donations the shelter can now accept are, of course, money and gift cards as well as consumable products and shelf-stable pantry items. Please help us to make this transition. Below is a list to guide you with what the shelter does need on a continuing basis. To keep the community informed of our current and special needs, public service announcements will be sent to local radio stations in our service area on an “as needed” basis. Please listen for these announcements, and thank you in advance for helping us make this transition manageable.
